The Space Before the Answer

“Not everything needs an answer the moment it arrives.”

There is a space before clarity.
A breath before understanding.
A quiet interval where nothing is required of you.

We’ve forgotten how to live there.

The mind wants resolution immediately.
The body asks for time.
And wisdom always sides with time.

Like fog lifting on water,
truth reveals itself when it’s ready,
not when it’s demanded.

Waiting is not avoidance.
It is respect for what’s still forming.

  1. This is beautifully written—calm, thoughtful, and deeply resonant. I love how gently you remind the reader that clarity doesn’t have to be rushed and that there is wisdom in allowing things to unfold in their own time. Lines like “There is a space before clarity” and “Wisdom always sides with time” feel especially powerful, inviting reflection and stillness.

  2. I’m patiently waiting for wisdom and have been emotionally spent trying to figure things out. All I really need to do is wait. Thank you, Kerri, for showing me the way.
