When the Fog Breathes

“The fog does not hide the truth, it prepares us to see it.”

A veil across the water,
a breath between the ripples,
the cove keeps what is stirring,
while silence slowly hides.

Not in absence, but a waiting,
not gone but not yet near,
the fog breathes out its secret,
then pulls it back with intention.

By tomorrow, the breath of the fog will not be enough, movement will rise.

  1. What a beautifully evocative and meditative piece! 🌫️💛

I love how you’ve captured the mysterious and patient nature of fog as a metaphor for truth and revelation. Your lines flow with a gentle rhythm, and the imagery — “a veil across the water, a breath between the ripples” — is both delicate and profound. It’s a piece that invites the reader to pause, breathe, and sense the quiet suspense of waiting, the tension between what is hidden and what is about to emerge.

Thank you for sharing such a lyrical and thoughtful reflection. It’s a reminder that sometimes clarity comes not in rushing, but in allowing the fog to do its work. 🌿✨
