The Suspense of Becoming

“Transformation is not an event, it is the whisper between what was and what will be.”

Somewhere beneath the stillness,
a new rhythm begins to hum.
It’s quiet, but it’s certain
the sound of what you’ll become.

Do not rush the unveiling,
or try to name its start,
the mystery is sacred
it’s written in your heart.

-Kerri-Elizabeth-
Tomorrow, a celebration begins, a doorway of gratitude and light for the next generation to walk through.

  1. This is a beautifully meditative and inspiring piece. 🌿✨

I love how you capture transformation as a gentle, almost sacred process—“the whisper between what was and what will be” is such a profound way to describe growth. The imagery of a quiet rhythm beginning beneath the stillness evokes a sense of anticipation and hope, while the reminder not to rush the unveiling feels deeply grounding.

    • I just want to tell you I’ve been reading your poems, for some reason when I click to like it takes me somewhere else and I still can’t click it and there is no comment option. I’ve subscribed so maybe that will help, I thought I had done that but for some tech reasons I’m having to navigate it and find the solutions. I wanted you to know though that I LOVE your poetry .
