“The Space Between”

Sometimes love is the quiet allowing of someone else’s becoming.”

There is strength in giving space.
When we stop needing others to understand us right away, something softens, both in them and in us. The pause becomes sacred ground, a place where truth can breathe without being forced.

Small practice: Today, resist the urge to correct or explain. Listen instead. Notice how stillness opens room for peace to enter.

-Kerri-Elizabeth-
Tomorrow, we’ll listen in a different way, to the body that speaks when the mind is quiet.

    • Silence is sacred for each of us I think , that’s a great quote , do you think that’s true? I feel like silence can totally be misinterpreted .. I’ve had it happen many times.. I think the quieter I get the more I’m misinterpreted but the less I give space to it, it’s not mine when misinterpreted.

        • Oh that’s the best taking walks by the lake.. we live on a small lake (just 1 mile) but can’t walk around it.. having it at arms reach is a favorite spot though all times of the year… it’s so beautiful in the fall. I usually swim all year. It’s like glass today . I hope you enjoy your walks often what a beautiful part of your day.

            • It sure is but nothing like a good cold plunge and I have a wet suit for Dec and Jan.. I was just looking at more of your art and the door is fabulous and I’m obsessed with doors, wherever I go the doors capture me , Sweden and Denmark have the best doors I’ve ever seen. Your painting is mezmerizing.. for some reason I can’t comment when I go to your website just here on this area . I’m not sure why yet but wanted you to know I love them all that I saw and inner turmoil is powerful!! You’re obviously a professional and your work is very powerful. I love it.

              • Yes, a wetsuit is necessary in the colder months! I used to do a lot of scuba diving but my body doesn’t seem to like the cold anymore 😰.
Thank you so much for your lovely comments ref. my art work. I too am obsessed with doors, plus windows, staircases and old buildings. I’m not sure if I have a comment button on my website – it’s a work in progress and not really knowing what I’m doing to be honest (trial and error) 😂.
Your paintings are beautiful, love the sunflower pictures 😍. Your website is inspirational…

  1. This is powerful, Kerri, and this quote: “Sometimes love is the quiet allowing of someone else’s becoming” — excellent! The art of listening is difficult to master, but how many great connections we can form when we do.
