“Respect is allowing others their pace.”
There is a fine line
between inviting growth
and pushing for change.
You cannot decide
where someone else should be.
You cannot rush their processing.
You cannot demand their awakening.
Some people need silence.
Some need conversation.
Some don’t move much at all.
And that, too, is their choice.
Respect does not mean agreement.
It means allowing.

Tomorrow: Processing at different speeds.
This is so gently powerful. 🌿
The line “Respect is allowing others their pace” feels simple at first glance, but the more you sit with it, the deeper it goes. In a world obsessed with progress, productivity, and “fixing,” this feels like a quiet rebellion — a reminder that growth isn’t a race.
I especially love the distinction between inviting growth and pushing for change. That tension is real. So often, what we label as “helping” can quietly become pressure. Your words call that out without judgment — just clarity.

That’s so kind of you — thank you. 🙏
Messages like yours make the day feel meaningful already. When someone shares their creativity with such openness and then sends warmth back in return… that’s a good exchange of energy right there.

Have the best day I appreciate your support as well… I don’t get a chance to answer daily but I notice.

Your post really resonated for me, Kerri. Recently, I encountered silence and was upset. It would have been a much better approach to accept it, instead of personally taking the silence to heart.

I try to remind myself nothing is personal but instead gifts to see, learn, experience and feel from for growth not ownership. Like your music , no one owns it but you, but when gifted it’s received individually.
I trip on this all the time, but I can tell I’m earning my 60th year in the lesson 😂.
