Standing Firm

“May you carry a Soft heart and steady spine.”

Strength is not loud.

It is quiet and grounded.
Unmoved by pressure.

Standing firm does not mean you are rigid.

It means you are clear.

Clear about what is safe.
Clear about what is healthy.
Clear about what you will not accept again.

Boundaries change as life changes.

But in every season, your
safe space to be you matters.

Even if someone does not like it.

  1. What a beautifully grounding piece this is. The message carries a calm strength that lingers long after reading—gentle yet firm, just like the “soft heart and steady spine” it speaks of. I especially appreciate how it reframes strength not as loud resistance, but as quiet clarity and self-awareness. That idea alone feels both healing and empowering.

  2. This is so beautifully said. A soft heart and steady spine is such a powerful balance. You can be kind and still be strong. You can love deeply and still stand firm in what’s right for you.

We’re called to speak the truth in love and to guard our hearts – Proverbs 4:23. Jesus showed us how to be gentle yet unshakable.
