It is not in the joy you feel, it is in the feeling joy becomes real
In the rapture of tears grown from seeds of fears
In a moment of pain a solid interpretation ingrained
Running into the scars beautifully paved from the past
Where the idea that was and is and will be makes a definitive memory last
When darkness and light collapse into one
When cold and hot become one
It is not at that moment where separation becomes clear
It is at that moment where the separation is no longer the fear
Where the adjustment of heat and cold are simply an illusion of separation we hold
The awareness of the emotion spiraled through
Tearing the creative illusions wide open

Growing Wings

My heart oh my heart… my mommy heart… oh my mommy heartbeat… what is my lesson in this place… face to face in this space my tears roll down my cheeks in this moment of just me and Zak in this place.
Love overtakes, grace is never erased
Lifting into the highest place
My boy who’s lived an amazing race
A champion
A warrior
A son
A husband
A brother
A friend
He will run with no end
Play music in heaven
I love this child more than the air I breathe
I’m so grateful for the love he has stretched my capacity to believe
My son

My star in the sky
He will always be my guide.
Note: I wrote this on a day in the hospital not long ago when we were called in for that very call you never want to have.
He made it through that day and after that decided he would not continue to go through this pain and suffering any more and made a choice to not recieve blood and platelets any more prolonging this suffering. He was as ready as he was going to be to let go and allow his spirit to soar and do bigger things.
Zakary recieved his wings on July 30th, 2017 at his home with his wife, his youngest sister and me holding his hands and head as he struggled to his last breath. It was the most excruciating almost 5 year journey of my life and it will NOT go uncelebrated.
This Sunshine page will become a book, I will be doing speaking in time and I will do all I can to help others in Zak’s name.
I have a path set out for me as his mom to follow and I will honor him all the way.
