In your head or in your heart?

Until recently (as in today) I have been told  I am all about thinking from the heart.

Today I was told to get out of my head and into my heart.

I  just got back from the gym, I was pumped and ready for my day.

I had a coaching call in one hour

and I was going to take a shower and silence my workout energy and be centered.

So, I was thinking this in my head anyways.

Then I looked at my phone and a message came in and said, our meeting is in 7 minutes.

Who made the timing mistake, I thought to myself?

Did it really matter?

It wasn’t me, it was a world class coach.

We all make mistakes.

What I learned next and more importantly was this, his ability to acknowledge his mistake and

his calm reaction and ability to move on to what mattered.

 I said,” Let me hear it coach, whats next for me?”

“I have my vision for two years done, I have my schedule written and on track, I have

this, that and the other thing done.”

RIGHT then I was interrupted, stopped in my tracks and immediately redirected,

“Wait, stop, you need to slow

down and breathe.”

What?

Oh yes, the very act I have been practicing daily.

Slow down, take time to be and take time to breathe.

The next words he said were pivotal,

“get out of your head and into your heart.”

What,

I said to myself in my defensive self talk?

I was completely out of my heart and into my head and didn’t even realize it.

It took me  about 10  minutes of meditation and guidance to get into my heart and out of my head.

My inner dialogue had taken over and started to defend itself with,

“I just got done working out”, “the call came an hour early I wasn’t ready”, blah blah blah.

I stopped that false self talk in my tracks, and this is what I made a decision to say to myself in seconds,

” your in this to win this”,

“listen to direction”,

“allow

someone to care for you and allow yourself to receive”.

“Top Performers receive Top Performer guidance.”

As soon as I allowed that, his response was exactly what took me to the next level.

He said,” your safe with me.”

“Safe”

Once I was in my heart again and felt safe, the magic happened, calmness, love, acceptance, peace and healing.

He then said to me, “Its time to heal”,

I kept my eyes closed but those words drilled into my heart to the depth of my core.

It followed with emotion and tears I can’t explain, there were no specifics surrounding the tears,

just that they wanted to be there and I needed to allow it.

Our head can make decision just as well as our heart, however the heart

knows exactly where you want to be.

We can all get stuck in our head ,when we direct back to the heart, it all becomes clear again.

Breathe, it’ll take you there!

Truly self or self induced

There is nothing to do. Just be.

Do nothing.Be.

No climbing mountains and sitting in caves.

I do not even say “be yourself”

Since you do not know yourself

Just be

Digest this information and just “BE” for a moment

If you are part of the millions of people who exist by medicating your self induced stress

by

running away, drinking, drugs, anger ,blame, shame, over eating and so many other things that

block your thoughts, patterns and emotions so that you can never truly feel or identify them,

just breathe this in for a moment

Who is your true self, do you know

Our true self does not self inflict pain, it does not limit our dreams and desires

Our true self wants the best for our life and it gives us purpose

When you reach the most peaceful state, there is no rule that says it has to be done in a quiet place

or when your life slows down

We can seek within ourselves the peace we naturally have or we can

starve ourselves of the amazing gift that is part of us

You can also use one eye and close the other all day long, but why would you if you can use both

Our self talk dictates our ability to experience , peace, pleasure, love and so many other things.

Peace is not something you receive, peace is there to establish in every situation and encounter you come across

It is an inner attitude, a flicker that can not be put out

It doesn’t mean that life won’t throw you a curve ball, what I’m saying is that you can draw from the flicker for peace

The energy around you will change, it is almost impossible for

anyone around you to feel stressed or overwhelmed if you are in a state of peace

Peace is a faster energy, just your presence alone will calm others

This state of peace causes pheromones of measurable energy to radiate from you

You will affect others lives without even realizing it

This goes back to lighting thousands of candles with one flicker

Share your peace and watch the change of others around you

Just be

Fuel for Thought

What if every morning you decided with fierce intention this was going to be a fantastic day?

Do you live your life waiting or looking for happiness?

Are your responses and reactions in line with your intentions?

The Sunshine project will be a continual challenge to your thoughts as well as continual information that will help direct your path to live everyday with passion and tenacity.

Every morning can start with a smile and everyday there are a million things to be in gratitude about.

What if you just took 5 minutes to write down all the things you were grateful for and you did this everyday?

Do you think this could start to change your life?

I promise you it will change your life and I also promise you , you will not run out of things to be grateful for. You will start to live in the gratitude of every breath and every moment, when you run out of people and material things to write, you have to start digging deep for more and noticing more and allowing yourself more. Abundant thoughts are on their way.

Hang on tight for daily Sunshine, I will be shining light on all areas of life, health, fitness, food, skin, finance and family.

Now and Then

Do you ever catch yourself multi- tasking so much you don’t remember what you just did and where you just put something you need to find? Do you read pages in a book and realize you have to go back and read it again because your mind wondered?

Here is a challenge for the day, think about what your doing all day. Be in the “NOW”, not the” THEN” moments. For instance when you wake up in the morning are your thoughts on waking up. Do you give your brain a moment to take in the beauty of just waking up ?  Do you think about the little things, that really aren’t so little because they keep us alive? Like your heart beating, your lungs filling with air, your muscles moving, your eyelids opening, your tongue that allows you to swallow. These of course are just a few. Be grateful for these little things that are not so little. Just give a good thank you to your body and mind for working for you.

Take a moment to realize where your thoughts are, “your energy goes where your thoughts are”. Take a moment to realize where your at , what your doing and if your thoughts are in line with that action. Are you just getting through your day with thoughts , actions and moments that never align. do you even remember most of them at the end of the day?

Try to be in the “NOW “not the “THEN” and work on being present when your talking to someone, give them eye to eye contact, put down your phone, stop for a moment and give yourself and anyone in your path today your “NOW “not your “THEN”.
